I think a shower just might help! The soot stained face is a dead giveaway. :)

As she digs the soot and grime out of her ears...Who indeed?

Yes, a lady always asks, "One lump or two?" before she hits someone and sticks her pinky out when wielding a weapon. ;-)

OMG Roux did this change a fourth time?! How many drafts did this go through?! XD Also I love how far away Nova's mouth is from her nose, haha. I think I've been drawing Abby like that too.

Heheh, no this is a different page. I told ya, this is a loooong conversation. Don't worry, that one's coming! :D

^_^ It makes for very entertaining annoyed/bored faces! We know what's what.

A shower and some make up will do the trick! XD

I'm curious to learn why she's on the run to begin with.

I was afraid that she was going to attack him. Lol. What he said was rude even though it had some truth to it. However, just because she may be a bit indecent and abrasive, that doesn't make her any less of a "lady" but I know what he meant.

This is not necessarily true. While Nova is indeed a woman and should as such be treated with a certain level of chivalry and respect, she is not, properly speaking, a "lady". The status of woman -> lady is rather like that of man -> gentleman. Nova, with her wide range of tomboy, vulgar, careless, incendiary, and vastly illegal behaviors, is no more a lady by this period's standards than (for example) Jack Sparrow is a gentleman. 'Course, now I'm likely to be the target of Nova's wrath. Heaven help me.

I was going to compose an elaborate reply about Faeries and culture and stuff, but suffice it to say: Nova was not offended, and Elgin would not have said what he did if she would have been. :)
