Oh, a Wolfman, of course. Because we all know exactly what being a Wolfman "entails"....

Also, "being rich" is apparently a skill.

I wanted to get some thoughts on this shading style. It's a bit softer and more layered than my usual, more cell-shading style. Perhaps it's hard to tell since it's a fire-lit scene? If you care to comment on that subject, it would be most helpful.

(Check out the Author Blog for why this page is early!)

I really like the new shading style. :D
I find that a greater number of layers usually leads to richer and more interesting look. The only drawback is that it's often more time consuming (do you find this method takes you longer?)

Well, thank you! It doesn't seem to take any longer, but I'm very bad at keeping track of how long things take anyway. I also find it more enjoyable, so maybe the time goes faster?

Nice, I like the shading. I feel like the yellow light could be a bit brighter on them..maybe try fooling around with the brightness/contrast a bit? I usually have to brighten up my coloring. Anyway, good stuff as usual. :D

Awesome, thanks! I think you're right. I'm gonna tweak the rest of the pages for this scene. I definitely lean toward the less saturated side and I think I get scared of going too bright haha. :)

Well, "becoming rich" or "staying rich" usually requires skill (and/or luck). "Being rich" on the other hand doesn't indicate one or the other.

Heheh, yeah Elgin hasn't worked a day in his life. Money just kind of happened to him. So, not much skill involved there lol!

Well if you think of how fast some people can loose their money, being rich might kind of a skill :)

lol I guess so! It's a wonder Elgin hasn't frittered away every penny on fancy clothes.

I like the shading style. Whichever style you like, and/or is easier for you, go with that one. :)

Im going to guess that she either recently lost her wings, or they sprout when needed.

The new style works just fine, makes it even more story book even.

Yes! Faeries have retractable wings.

Awesome! Story book is definitely what I'm going for.

I would agree with HapyCow and say that the lighting could be brighter. I didn't even notice it honestly >.< But a glow like that would be awesome to see in future pages, where the light source is more soft.
